Our Background

➢ CEO Matthew Kubick started Local Demo Service in 2015 serving local Hawaiian-grown beverages at farmers markets to support inter-island sustainability. Hawaii imports approximately 90% of all consumable goods so our mission was to get local products into local peoples hands at all costs. Our local Hawaiian producers expressed a need for demos at grocery outlets so we began sampling Kau coffee, Big Island macadamia nuts, and other local Hawaiian products at Whole Foods and other health-food stores.

➢ Entering the grocery industry, we found a lack of sustainable trends: Food travels approximately 1500 miles from farm to plate, Organic food sales only account for a mere 5.3% of the food sales in the United States as of 2017 , the vast majority of food packaging is not recycled, etc. These and other findings determined our direction as a business.

➢ Our purpose is to support sustainably-focused products to build a more sustainable, forward-thinking food economy for a healthier population, environment, and world.

Brokerage Service

We get your products into new stores, maintain product orders in current stores, manage your promos/ads, increase your sales, and build relationships with corporate merchandisers and buyers.
➢ Our team is on-site full time in grocery outlets building relationships with buyers and increasing sales for our brands. Naturally, buyers want to take on our product lines because our demo service has ensured sales to their stores; plus we only represent the highest-quality brands. Natural Brokerage only takes on a select few clients to broker for at a time, so your product needs to be the right fit to become part of our Brokerage Program. We cultivate strong relationships with retail, food service, and other accounts that would love to carry your brand! Also, to keep your product(s) moving and incentivize grocery buyers to keep your product(s) on the shelf, we can provide on-site demos to stimulate sales and get grocery buyers to continue re-ordering.
